Patent rejection: 'Novartis remains committed'

The managing director, of the Swiss drugmaker Navartis says the company is disappointed to have had its patent rejected by India's Supreme Court.

Speaking to the BBC, Ranjit Shahani said Navartis "remains committed to patients."

The Swiss drugmaker was denied a patent by Indian authorities on the grounds that the new version was only slightly different from the old.
