Is arming Syrian rebels a wise move?
The Syrian government has urged the United Nations Security Council to include the al-Nusra Front, an armed Syrian opposition group, on its list of groups linked to al-Qaeda.
On Wednesday the jihadist front pledged allegiance to the leader of al-Qaeda, Ayman al-Zawahiri, raising the question whether offering help for the anti-Assad opposition risks creating a new type of monster in Syria?
