Fighting sexism in Australian politics

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and his rival, Tony Abbott, are busy crossing Australia in a last-ditch effort to win votes ahead of the 7 September general election.

Mr Rudd replaced Julia Gillard in June, after a premiership that sparked considerable debate over gender and politics in Australia.
