Obama postpones vote on military action against Syria
President Obama has given a televised address setting out the case for military action against the Syrian government over its alleged use of chemical weapons.
He said he had asked Congress to postpone a vote authorising the use of force to give diplomacy a chance.
Russia, Syria's staunch ally, has handed over its plan to America.
As negotiations continue, a United Nations report says all sides in Syria have committed war crimes.
