Red Cross worker on Typhoon Haiyan winds and torrential rain

A British Red Cross worker has described the plight of hundreds of thousands of Filipinos caught up in Typhoon Haiyan.

Nichola Jones, who was speaking from the island of Bohol, said the region was already struggling to recover from a powerful earthquake last month.

She told the BBC the typhoon would add to the damage and suffering caused by the quake.

Ms Jones also explained how high winds and constant rain had battered the area in which she is staying.
