Missouri shooting: Calm restored after riots

Police in the US state of Missouri say calm has been restored after a night of rioting in which 32 people were arrested.

The violence on Sunday night was sparked by the fatal shooting of an unarmed black teenager by a police officer on Saturday.

People looted shops and vandalised cars and buildings as police tried to block off access to several areas of St Louis.

Police say 18-year-old Michael Brown was shot several times after a struggle in a police car.

His mother, Lesley McSpadden, said her son had just graduated from high school and "didn't bother" anybody.
