A closer look at the BBC's findings on jihadist violence

A BBC investigation has found that more than 5,000 people around the world died as the result of jihadist violence during the month of November.

There were deaths in more than 14 countries ranging from Mali to the Philippines, caused by al-Qaeda or groups that subscribe to a similar ideology, such as the so-called Islamic State.
