Arline Kercher 'shocked' by Knox and Sollecito acquittals

The mother of Meredith Kercher has said she was shocked by the verdict acquitting Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito of her daughter's murder in Italy in 2007.

Sollecito and his former girlfriend Knox were found guilty in 2009 and acquitted on appeal in 2011, but the guilty verdict were reinstated in January 2014.

They were acquitted for a second time on Friday by Italy's highest court. Arline Kercher described the verdict as "strange"
