Kerry: Syria is 'root cause' of Europe's migrant crisis

The US Secretary of State, John Kerry, has said there is an urgent need for countries to come together to resolve the war in Syria.

He also called on Russia and Iran to use their influence.

Mr Kerry was speaking in London following talks with the UK's Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond.

He said Syria was the "root cause" of Europe's current migrant crisis.
