Zika virus could cause 'Guillain-Barré' syndrome

New research suggests that the mosquito-borne Zika virus can cause a rare but severe neurological disorder, called Guillain-Barré syndrome.

The virus has already been linked to under-developed brains in babies.

The global health charity The Wellcome Trust has described the findings, published in the Lancet, as compelling.
