Nobel Peace Prize: Moment NGO told on the phone it has won award
The Ukrainian-based Center for Civil Liberties has been jointly awarded the 2022 Nobel Peace Prize, alongside Belarusian activist Ales Bialiatski and the Russian civil liberties group Memorial.
Olav Njoelstad, the director of the Norwegian Nobel Institute, called Oleksandra Romantsova, the general manager of Ukrainian NGO, shortly before the prize was announced.
