Nigeria to revamp nation's electricity network

Nigeria's President, Goodluck Jonathan, has announced a multi-billion dollar plan to redevelop the country's notoriously inefficient electricity network.

It will mean selling off the state power monopoly, and attracting private companies to build new generating plants using natural gas.
