Gaddafi building in Tripoli damaged by missile

The US says allied forces have had some success against Col Muammar Gaddafi's defences in a second night of air attacks in Libya.

An apparent missile strike caused extensive damage to Col Gaddafi's compound in the capital, Tripoli.

A coalition official said the strike had destroyed Col Gaddafi's "command and control capability".

Western journalists taken by Libyan officials to the compound were shown a ruined three or four-storey building that Libyan government spokesman Ibrahim Musa described as an "administrative building".
