'Tanks and snipers attack civilians' in Misrata

A rebel spokesman in Misrata, about 200km east of the Libyan capital Tripoli, said earlier that pro-Gaddafi forces had launched fresh attacks on Sunday with heavy shelling.

Ghassam, a resident of Misrata, told the BBC there were about 30 snipers on rooftops in Misrata, as well as tanks, firing on civilians.
