Nato denies taking sides in Libya

The Libyan government has accused NATO of going beyond the UN mandate to protect civilians.

A spokesman in Tripoli said the continued air strikes were "illegal" and "immoral".

Nato's Secretary General, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, has told the BBC the organisation is "impartial" and was there to protect civilians within the framework of the UN mandate.
