Abidjan residents flee as UN fire hits Gbagbo compound

UN and French helicopters in Ivory Coast have fired on the residence of incumbent leader Laurent Gbagbo.

On Saturday pro-Gbagbo forces attacked a hotel used by internationally recognised president Alassane Ouattara.

Meanwhile, French forces in Abidjan are helping foreign nationals and civilians find safety amid the fighting.
