Misrata 'to be dealt with by the tribes'

Libyan Deputy Foreign Minister Khalid Kaim has said that tribal groups around Misrata loyal to Colonel Gaddafi have given the army an ultimatum: deal with the rebels in the city or we will.

They're said to be angry that their lives had been disrupted by the rebellion in Misrata.

Mr Kaim said the Libyan government would leave the situation in Misrata to the tribes "to deal with".
