Long-awaited aid comes to Mogadishu

The United Nations Refugee Agency has been making its first airlift of emergency aid to the Somali capital, Mogadishu, in five years.

It follows an announcement by the Islamist militant group Al Shabab that it was pulling its fighters out of the city.

The aid includes blankets, sleeping mats and other items for the tens of thousands of people displaced by drought and famine.

The BBC's Will Ross reports from the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.

The video on this item was taken in a refugee camp in Kenya and the Somali capital Mogadishu
