Libya unrest: Tripoli calm as Zawiya fight continues

Libyan rebels are fighting forces loyal to Colonel Gaddafi for control of a coastal oil refinery in Zawiya, a town just 50km (30 miles) west of Tripoli.

Most of the town is now held by rebels, and the refinery would represent a significant victory, effectively cutting oil and gas supplies to the capital.

But in Tripoli loyalists remain undeterred by the rebels and the government insists it will not fall.
