Rebels vow fresh supplies for Tripoli

Britain says it is sending medicine and food to Libya, where humanitarian supplies are urgently needed as rebels seek the final downfall of the fugitive leader, Col Gaddafi.

A spokesman for the rebel leadership, Mahmoud Shammam, has announced measures to tackle the shortages in Tripoli, and gave the details at a news conference there.
