Rendition evidence in Libya, Human Rights Watch says

Papers have been found which allegedly detail "rendition" arrangements between western intelligence agencies and Gaddafi's regime, according to an NGO.

Peter Bouckaert of Human Rights Watch said his team found correspondence between the CIA and Gaddafi's security services at the External Security government building.

The UK's Foreign Office has said it does not comment on intelligence matters. Asked about the claims, Foreign Secretary William Hague said "all our discussions" were focused on plans for the future of Libya.
