Priceless antiquities stolen from Benghazi museum

Thousands of priceless Libyan artefacts have been stolen or damaged during the battle to overthrow Colonel Gaddafi.

The new authorities are working to recover the so-called "Treasure of Benghazi." A collection of coins, jewellery and statues.

In Tripoli its feared it is still too dangerous to reopen the National Museum.

The BBC's Caroline Hawley spoke to Salah al-Hassi from the Libyan Department of Antiquities and Hafed Walda from Kings College.
