Jibril warns of 'dangerous' political vacuum in Libya

There is a political vacuum in Libya that is "dangerous for national unity", the country's former interim prime minister, Mahmoud Jibril, has warned.

Mr Jibril suggested that the democratic process needed to be speeded up following the downfall of Col Gaddafi - so that a new parliament could be installed within six months.

The NTC has said it wants a national congress to be elected within eight months, and multi-party elections in Libya in 2013.
