During Libya's civil war, two neighbouring cities suffered more than any others.
In Misrata, rebel forces faced months of attacks by Colonel Gaddafi's men before coming out on top.
A few months later they meted out the same treatment on Gaddafi's home town of Sirte before finally declaring Libya free.
