Anger over fuel subsidy sparks Nigeria unrest

Roadblocks have been set alight in Nigeria's main city of Lagos on the second day of an indefinite strike over the elimination of a fuel subsidy.

Correspondents say the city is tense after a protester was killed there on Monday in a demonstration over the doubling of petrol prices.

Meanwhile, thousands have taken to the streets in the capital Abuja to voice their anger.

The BBC's Mark Lobel is in Lagos and says people feel that they can express their opinions now that Nigeria is a democracy.
