Sudan leaders fail to agree over oil dispute

The presidents of South Sudan and Sudan have failed to come to an agreement over an oil dispute that has led to the shutdown of the South's crude output.

When South Sudan became independent six months ago, neighbouring Sudan lost most of its oil wealth because the majority of the fields were in the south.

A bitter dispute is escalating over the revenues, linked to the oil pipelines that run through Sudan.
