Two Africans short-listed among 100,000 young entrepreneurs

Two young African entrepreneurs have been short-listed in a global talent programme that attracted more than 100,000 applicants from over 221 countries.

The programme, Your Big Year, gives young entrepreneurs from around the world the opportunity to win a year-long placement, meeting global leaders and captains of industry while also working on projects.

The winner, out of 16 finalists, will be announced at the closing gala dinner of the Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC) in Liverpool, UK, on Thursday.

The two African hopefuls - Kenya's Calvin Jodishi (left) and Uganda's Charles Batte - told BBC Africa's David Amanor about their dreams and ambitions. He spoke first to Mr Batte.
