'Alarming mortality and malnutrition' at Batil refugee camp in South Sudan

There is growing evidence of what aid agencies are calling a humanitarian catastrophe in South Sudan.

Medicins Sans Frontieres said the death rate in the Batil refugee camp was substantially over the emergency threshold.

More than 100,000 Sudanese refugees have arrived in Batil and other camps from just over the border in Blue Nile, where a civil war began nearly a year ago.
