Tunisian opposition politician shot dead
Tunisian opposition politician Chokri Belaid has been shot dead outside his home in the capital, Tunis, his brother and officials say.
Mr Belaid, a prominent secular opponent of Tunisia's government, was shot in the neck and head on his way to work.
BBC Arabic's Wafa Zaiane says initial reports suggest the gunman, who was in Tunisian traditional dress, seemed familiar with shooting at close range.
