President Obama's jokes win over Johannesburg audience
US President Barack Obama turned on the charm offensive on Saturday afternoon as he addressed a group of young African leaders at the University of Johannesburg.
Mr Obama delivered a speech in front of the 500-strong crowd at the Soweto campus before engaging in a "townhall style" question and answer session with young people from around the continent.
Outside the auditorium hundreds of demonstrators had gathered to protest against the president's visit - but inside, he managed to win over his audience with jokes about his family and presidency.
