Nelson Mandela discharged from South African hospital

The former South African president, Nelson Mandela, has been discharged from hospital and is to continue receiving medical treatment at his home.

The South African government said the former president remained in a "critical and at times unstable" condition.

Mr Mandela was admitted to hospital in June with a lung infection.
