Jally Kebba Susso on carrying on griot family tradition

Music has run in Gambian kora player Jally Kebba Susso's family for more than 70 generations.

He is a griot - (jali or jeli) in the Mande languages of West Africa - whose traditional role is to preserve oral history through story-telling and music.

But, as the London-based artist told BBC Africa's Baya Cat, he also sees it as his mission to counter negativity in the world with positive music.
