Nairobi shooting: 'Like a war', Westgate shopper says

Dozens of people have been killed in a gun battle inside a shopping mall in Nairobi, eyewitnesses have said.

A senior police officer originally said it was an attempted robbery but later Somali militant group al-Shabab told the BBC it carried out the attack.

Surajit Borkakoty was shopping with his wife and said they hid in a cupboard to avoid the gunmen.
