Inside new SA manganese mine

South Africa's mining industry is more than 100 years old, but recent steps are enabling entrepreneurs like Daphne Mashile-Nkosi to become the first woman in South Africa to build a mine from scratch.

In the week that sees the country host Africa's largest mining conference, the BBC's Lerato Mbele visited Ms Mashile-Nkosi's manganese mine in the Northern Cape to find out how it works.
