Call for oil revenue audit in Nigeria after 'billions lost'

In Nigeria, Central Bank governor Lamido Sanusi was suspended after he accused the state oil company, Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC), of failing to account for $20bn in oil revenues.

This move was seen by many as an attempt to silence the whistleblower rather than attempt to stop the corruption. An audit is due to be carried out to determine how much money is missing.
