Rwanda's children taught of genocide 20 years on

Rwanda is beginning a week of official mourning to mark the 20th anniversary of the country's genocide, when at least 800,000 people, mostly ethnic Tutsis and moderate Hutus, died at the hands of extremists.

George Alagiah was in the country to report on the genocide and its aftermath for the BBC.

He returned to a school he first visited in 1994 to see how the children of today are being taught about the country's painful history.
