Oscar Pistorius describes how he shot Reeva Steenkamp

The South African athlete, Oscar Pistorius, broke down in court as he described the moment he realised he had shot his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.

The 29-year-old said he picked up his gun because he believed there was an intruder in his house.

Mr Pistorius, who denies murder, said he broke through the toilet door after firing four shots, and only then realised what he had done.
