EEF's Julius Malema says he brings a 'message of hope'

Leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters Julius Malema has visited the township of Itireleng, near Pretoria, to make his election pitch.

Mr Malema, an ex-ANC member, formed the party following his falling out with President Jacob Zuma in 2012.

He told the BBC's Andrew Harding he was "bringing a message of hope" to the people.
