Nigerian artist Victor Ehikhamenor's canvas sculptures
Nigerian artist Victor Ehikhamenor says he likes to "free the canvas" from a conventional frame by "sculpting" it.
In his latest exhibition, Chronicles of the Enchanted World, he evokes the place of his birth in Uwessan in Edo state.
In one work - I Hope You Remember - he says he was inspired by the way his mother tied her flamboyant head ties.
BBC Africa's Jenny Horrocks went along to the Gallery of African Art in London's Cork Street to see the exhibition and meet the artist.
