Sudanese death row woman Meriam Ibrahim detained again

A Sudanese woman freed from death row has been detained again, accused of forging official documents to leave the country, her lawyer has said.

Elsherif Ali told the BBC that Meriam Ibrahim's travel documents had been obtained legally and that she had been denied bail.

Mrs Ibrahim was detained at an airport on Tuesday - one day after her release. She had been convicted for renouncing the Islamic faith, despite being raised as an Orthodox Christian.
