Nigerian president 'distraught' after cancelling Chibok meeting

Nigeria's president has cancelled a meeting with parents of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls, accusing activists of playing politics.

Presidential spokesman Dr Doyin Okupe said President Goodluck Jonathan was "extremely distraught".

"This is a dark day," he continued, "that Nigerians will go to this length to disgrace us, to cause unimaginable pain".
