Oscar Pistorius to be sentenced over Reeva shooting

The athlete Oscar Pistorius will be sentenced today in Pretoria for the crime of culpable homicide, similar to manslaughter.

The prosecution is demanding that he receives at least 10 years in prison for the shooting.

However his defence team argue that a community-based sentence, including house arrest rather than prison, should be considered.
