Maasai Olympics takes place in Kenya

In Kenya the 2014 Maasai Olympics have been taking place.

The event was introduced a few years ago and is an attempt to discourage Maasai warriors from taking part in the traditional practice of lion hunting.

Campaigners say the local lion population has declined to alarming levels. Alpa Patel reports.
