Suicide bomber hits Nigerian presidential rally
A suicide bomber has killed at least one person after blowing herself up at a campaign rally for Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan.
The president was addressing a crowd in Gombe, a city in northern Nigeria, and left minutes before the bomb went off.
Mr Jonathan is standing for re-election on 14 February.
Boko Haram has stepped up attacks in the run-up to the vote but the Islamist group has not commented on the blast.
Kaura Abubakar reports from Abuja.
