Nigeria leader: Boko Haram 'getting weaker'

The president of Nigeria has told the BBC he is confident of victory in the fight against Boko Haram, and hopes all the territory the jihadists have seized will be recaptured within a month.

A recent regional military offensive has seen dozens of towns and villages back in government hands.

President Goodluck Jonathan was speaking ahead of the country's election on 28 March, in which he is standing again.

The BBC's Will Ross started by asking him how he would assess the current status of Boko Haram.
