Nigeria elections: Web based monitoring

Election observers from the African Union, the sub regional body ECOWAS and the United States among others are deploying trained observers in all of Nigeria's 774 local government areas.

They are feeding data straight back to Abuja for verification. But new technology in the hands of ordinary citizens also has a role to play.

At a technology incubator in Abuja, Ernest Ubor and Kenneth Onaiwu demonstrated the role of their web based monitoring tool - I Pledge Peace - in today's poll to Focus on Africa's Akwasi Sarpong.
