Nigeria candidates on violence and extended voting

Elections in parts of Nigeria have been extended until Sunday after delays and a number of attacks, reportedly leaving more than a dozen people dead.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, said it was suspending polling in some places because of technical problems with new voter identity card readers.

President Goodluck Jonathan, who is seeking re-election, is facing a strong challenge from the former military ruler, Muhammadu Buhari.

Both candidates were asked for their comments on the voting process.
