Why Nigerians are queuing for fuel

Right across Nigeria people are struggling with a fuel shortage that is causing major disruption.

The fuel crisis has already been on for several weeks and is causing a lot of panic.

Although Nigeria is a major oil producer it imports most of its fuel needs and the entire sector is plagued by corruption costing billions of dollars each year.

Cleaning it up will be a major test for the new government of Muhammadu Buhari who is due to be sworn in as president at the end of May.

Will Ross reports from Lagos.
