Xenophobic violence 'should never happen again' says ANC
The anti-foreigner violence which swept across Durban and Johannesburg in April "should never happen again," South Africa's Minister of Traditional Affairs Pravin Gordhan has told Stephen Sackur for the BBC's HARDtalk on the Road.
Mr Gordhan said it was the government's job to make South Africans more aware of what anti-xenophobia means and for people to see better prospects for the future.
At least seven people died in the violence, hundreds were injured and thousands fled for their lives.
