Mogadishu beach life returning after al-Shabab pushed out
Somalia is a country that has suffered decades of civil war and famine.
But with the Islamist militant group al-Shabab now pushed out of the capital Mogadishu, some aspects of life there have begun to return to normal.
At Lido beach on the northern edge of the city, thousands of Somalis now come to play in the surf and eat at the restaurants that have sprung up along the front.
BBC cameraman Stuart Phillips and the team captured these scenes on a recent Friday afternoon visit.
